Here at LK we believe that breakfast is definitely is our favourite part of the day (apart from the cake breaks). So, we were more than happy to oblige when the challenge to find the best breakfasts in London landed in our laps. Here you will find the yummiest breakfast locations that London has to offer, complete with a variety of free from options to suit everyone.

Raw Press:

Gluten free, vegan

Raw Press is a plant-based haven, which offers a delightful array of delicious breakfasts, organic cold-pressed juices and creamy lattés. A firm favourite in the LK office is their ‘Fill your Bowl’ option. We like to pile high our pots with their signature green muesli, lots of chocolate ‘rawnola’ and lashings of nut butter. However, if this isn’t for you, the Sweet Strawberry Acai is not to be missed. These small, cosy cafes are the perfect hubs for an on-the-go office, a quick salad stop or an eight-course brunch (we can dream).

Friends of Ours:

Vegetarian options, vegan options, gluten-free options, dairy-free options, meat options

This independent café in Hoxton is the perfect spot for a strong coffee and a full tummy. With a unique menu, you will struggle to decide what to go for! Our favourite dish is the courgette, quinoa & roasted corn fritters, however my best friend (eats all and anything) swears by the Fried Chicken Bao or the Matcha & Cherry Brioche French toast if you are in the mood for something sweeter. Just a short stroll from Old Street station, this is definitely the place you want to pop into if you are peckish.

Daylesford Farm:

Vegetarian options, vegan options, gluten-free options, dairy-free options, meat options

Taken from Daylesform Farm

With a menu to please the whole family, the Daylesford farm organic café has a great variety of ‘free from’ dishes. This gives you the chance to spend some quality time with a croissant-loving friend without having to worry about being difficult in your selection. Our favourite go-to options for a light bite are the summer protein porridge with cashew cream or the salmon sashimi with tamari, spring onion and black sesame seeds. These two dishes are fresh, delicious and leave you perfectly satisfied. If you don’t have time to stop, their farm shop is well equipped and full of fresh produce and light bites that will keep you ticking along.

26 Grains:

Dairy-free options, gluten free options, vegan options, vegetarian options, meat options

Taken from 26 Grains

Nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, 26 Grains has made a home for itself in Neal’s Yard. Instantly, the menu screams comfort. It is filled with warming bowls of porridge, thick creamy muesli and colourful savoury delights. If you like a sweet breakfast (like us) you can’t go wrong with the gently spiced Nordic Pear porridge or the classic Banana and Cacao. However, if you are in the company of those with a more defined savoury palate, point them in the direction Egg and Spinach oats or the salmon, wild rice and broccoli bowl – they won’t be disappointed. This little gem has owned the idea of posh porridge and here at LK, we love it!

The Modern Pantry:

Dairy-free options, gluten free options, vegan options, vegetarian options, meat options

The Modern Pantry is a beautiful, casual dining space, which is perfect for a breakfast date any day of the week. With such an extensive and desirable menu, there will be something to tickle the taste buds of even the fussiest eaters. We decided to take it upon ourselves and taste the majority of the menu (you can thank us later) and we have definitely found our favourites. The first LK favourite is a tea-smoked salmon with poached eggs and a large side order of slow roasted tomatoes, wilted spinach and avocado. Our second much-loved dish is Bircher muesli with rum & vanilla roasted pineapple, almond granola clusters and a drizzle of manuka honey. This paired with a chilli and liquorice hot chocolate is definitely one of the best breakfast treats we have had in a while. We love this place and have no doubt that you will too.
