Spiced Flapjacks

This gluten free vegan spiced flapjack recipe is the scrummiest festive treat. We made this recipe last year and thought it was time to make it public for you all to enjoy! The spicy blend of cinnamon, ginger, clove and nutmeg combined with creamy cashew butter and zesty orange come together to create the most heavenly flavour. It’s literally Christmas in a tray. We really hope you all enjoy making (and eating) this as much as we do!

gluten free vegan spiced flapjack



  • 300g jumbo oats (3 cups)
  • 60g oat flour (1/2 cup)
  • 100ml maple syrup (1/2 cup)
  • 80g coconut oil (2 1/2 tbsp)
  • 30g coconut sugar (1/4 cup)
  • 160g cashew butter (1 1/2 cups)
  • 150g raisins (1 1/4 cups)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground clove
  • Zest of 2 oranges
Super Easy
  • Preheat the oven to 180C and line a brownie tin with greaseproof paper.

  • Gently heat the maple syrup, coconut oil, cashew butter and coconut sugar until it forms a syrup.

  • Add the spices and orange zest to the syrup.

  • Combine the oats and oat flour in a bowl. Pour the syrup over the oat mixture, stirring gently to combine. Add in the raisins and mix, ensuring the raisins are well distributed.

  • Pour the mixture into the baking tray and bake for 20 minutes.
