Updated Almond Butter Flapjacks

I think Flapjacks are often seen as a healthier way to indulge in comparison to other treats, but traditional ones use a lot of butter. Making the switch to almond butter in this recipe gives them an extra-gooey texture, so the indulgence is not lost! Of course, the cacao means these flapjacks are super chocolatey, too! But the best about this recipe is that it could not be simpler – just mix, bake and tuck in!

(Makes 9 big squares)


  • 400g jumbo oats
  • 200g almond butter
  • 6 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 100g ground almonds
  • 60g coconut oil melted
  • 200ml maple syrup
  • 125ml date syrup
  • Pinch of salt

15 minutes
Super Easy
  • Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees celsius. Mix all of the ingredients together and transfer into a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
  • Leave to cool completely before slicing, and enjoy!
