Dinner Party Menu

Cooking for friends and family is one of my favourite ways to relax and wind down, there’s just nothing better than gathering everyone around some beautiful and delicious food! Here, I’ve gathered together some of my favourite recipes from the blog to show you all the sort of thing I like to serve when I’m hosting a dinner party!

Nibbles – Tomato, Courgette and Olive Scones

I made these scones recently for the first time and I’m so obsessed I can’t stop making them since! The recipe works really well for entertaining because they can be made in advance and will keep for a couple of days in a sealed container. They’re perfect to serve as guests arrive, and I like to roll the balls to about half the size so that they make little bite size nibbles! I’d serve these along side olives and nuts or maybe some crudités and hummus.

Starter – Aubergine Tempura

This aubergine tempura recipe works brilliantly as a starter. It’s so delicious and also really light, just enough to get your appetite going! I like to serve it up with a simple dipping sauce made with 2 tbsp tamari, 1 tsp honey and a little squeeze of lime juice.

Mains – Vegetable Paella

This is one of my favourite savoury recipes and I always make it when I have people over for dinner as it’s a real crowd pleaser and the kind of thing that everybody loves! I usually make it in a large pan which I serve in the middle of the table alongside little bowls of lemon wedges and sliced red chilli so that everyone can help themselves and make it just the way they like! As this dish is quite rich and tomatoey I think it’s work well served with a lovely fresh salad, I tend to keep it very simple and just dress lots of spinach and rocket leaves with olive oil, salt and a little lemon juice.

Dessert- Raw Mango and Passion Fruit Cheesecake

I have so many different options for dessert and to be honest, I usually make something different each time as there are so many to choose from! Having said that, I’d really recommend my mango and passion fruit raw cheesecake as a brilliant show-stopper dessert. Decorated with passion fruit and berries, the cheesecake looks absolutely beautiful when it’s served and it never fails to impress! This cheesecake tastes absolutely delicious served with a big dollop of coyo, or whipped coconut cream.
