5 of our best pumpkin dessert recipes

This time of year the office is filled with the most warming smells of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg and…pumpkin! Pumpkin is such a great baking ingredient for us as it has such a sweet taste and smooth texture making it perfect for all things indulgent!

With Halloween and Thanksgiving just around the corner we have been creating everything from mini pumpkin pies to pumpkin caramel cups. Here are some of my favourite pumpkin recipes to see you through the season.

Pumpkin Muffins

These muffins are a combination of ground almonds and grated pumpkin creating the most amazing gooeyness whilst the spices give it that dreamy flavour, reminiscent of the traditional American pie.

Pumpkin Spiced Fudge

These dreamy chunks of pumpkin fudge heaven make the perfect treat for Halloween or Thanksgiving. The use of wet ingredients such as maple, almond butter and pumpkin puree mean that they are so smooth in texture and literally melt in the mouth. The absolute bonus of this recipe is that they only take 10 minutes to make so are perfect for a last minute addition to a dinner party spread. We also love individually wrapping them up and putting them in a big jar so that everyone can help themselves.

Mini Pumpkin Pies

These cute little pumpkin pies are the perfect size for kids or to serve as an individual dessert at dinner parties with a dollop of any dairy-free yoghurt of your choice. The filling is so creamy and gooey, encased in a lovely spiced pastry. They are so easy and definitely a must-try.

Spiced Pumpkin Porridge

The girls in the office made this pumpkin porridge at the start of the season and we have been having it for breakfast every morning since. It is so warming to have as a breakfast during the colder months and isn’t too sweet at all. You can use any toppings that you like although we recommend chopped pecans with a drizzle of maple syrup and chia seeds.

Pumpkin Caramel Cups

The best part of this creation is biting through the bitter chocolate coating and into the sweet runny pumpkin caramel. These would make the perfect addition to a Halloween party spread or as a weekend treat.
