Chocolate and Almond Butter Flapjacks
I think flapjacks have always been seen as a fairly healthy snack and in comparison to other bars, the oats do make them a lot more substantial. They are also really simple and quick to make so perfect for adding to kids packed lunches or taking to work! The traditional flapjack recipe however, is packed with refined sugar which causes your body to use a lot of energy getting back in balance after your blood sugar levels rise and then fall. This chocolate flapjack is refined sugar and dairy free whilst still being just as delicious and the more conventional recipe. The almond butter provides some healthy fats and protein to keep you full and the cacao makes them extra chocolatey and delicious!!
