Raw Chocolate Orange Cashew Cream Cookies

Chocolate and orange is just one of the best combinations! The raw chocolate orange brownies Ella and I made together are one of my favourite and most popular desserts from the blog. These cookies are so simple and equally as delicious, I can’t get enough of the orangey cashew cream- you definitely won’t feel like you are missing out on chocolate orange with a plate of these on christmas day.

Makes 11

Prep: 35 minutes






  • 235g pitted soft medjool dates,100g blanched almonds,70g ground almonds,30g cacao,zest 1/2 orange,1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • Cashew Cream

  • 150g cashews soaked for 4-6 hours,2 tablespoons maple syrup,Juice of one big orange,Zest of 1/2 an orange


  • Add all of the cookie ingredients to the blender and pulse until the mixture comes together but still has some chunks of almond.

  • oll into cookie shapes of flatten onto a piece of clingfilm or greaseproof paper and cut out with a cookie cutter.

  • Drain and rinse the cashews and add to the food processor along with the other cashew cream ingredients.

  • Blend until completely smooth.

  • Spread some of the cashew cream on to one of the cookies and place another on top; repeat until you have used up all the mix.
